The SPC held their first Garage Day to begin preparing the GF Racing SC2 this past weekend. Deebs, Tapp, an air compressor and a nice assortment of hand tools allowed an amazing amount of work to be completed in a very short time.

First the car went up in the air and the tires came off. Then the entire front and rear suspension was removed, along with all the brake calipers, drums, hubs, knuckles, struts and bushings.   While Tapp was tackling the bottom fo the car, Deebs wielded his sockets with glee, stripping the engine, transmission and all associated parts.  Now the arduous task of cleanup and removal of lots of grime and dirt begins.

Since the motor and transmission have been removed it's a great time to rebuild them both to help us be even faster on track next year.  Look for a Quaife limited slip differential and new locking rings for the transmission and a complete overhaul from top to bottom of the powerplant.  Parts for both are currently being accumulated and we will highlight both processes during upcoming garage days.

If you are interested in helping the SPC prepare the GF Racing SC2 or would like to help us as a crew member during next year's racing season, please contact us. We would be happy to get all the help we can!
