The SPC's tenth annual rally was a huge success, and a great time was had by all during the week of May 15-18, 2007. Members from across the U.S. came together in the Chicago area to participate in several days worth of motorsports-related activities.
A writeup with more than 90 photos and video clips have been added to the event archive. And members with Senior status will also be able to view 350+ additional photos! Check it out!
In addition to the Rally coverage, you'll also find a report & photos from club member Kevin K from his attendance of Saturn's Brand Advocate Board Meeting in Detroit. This was quite an honor to have the club represented, and you can read about it HERE.
2007 Chicago Autoshow Event

Yes, winter is here, and that means it's time to start looking at next year's event calendar.
Our 1st event of the year will be our annual trip to the Chicago Auto Show. After much discussion at last year's event, this year we're going to change the schedule around a bit. We're going to start on Friday the 16th with breakfast, then head down to the show Friday morning. Friday afternoon & evening will be activities in & around Chicago. We'll have one last event Saturday morning, and then head home after lunch.
As in years past, to make things go faster when we get to the show, you can buy your tickets online before leaving from the show's website HERE, and you can make reservations at the hotel we'll be staying at HERE.

Dyno runs added to archive

On 11/12/2005, SPC members as well as members of SPOC North got together for a day at the Dyno. Take a look at Jonathan's writeup and photos HERE.
Dyno runs from this event as well as others have been newly added to the dyno archive, bringing the total to 246 runs. Several Ion Red Lines, as well as a couple S-Series running nitrous oxide were among the vehicles added. The Dyno archive is one of the many perks associated with Senior membership. Junior members and non-members can try out the sample Dyno Archive, as well as view some of the other benefits that Senior membership has to offer.

Our eighth annual rally took place from July 27 - 31, 2005. Just when I think they can't get any better from one year to the next, they do. Special guests to attend Rally

With the club's annual Rally rapidly approaching, we've invited some very special guests to join us.
Hahn Racecraft will be joining us at the dragstrip. Hahn has developed turbo packages for many compact cars, including the Ecotec-powered GM small cars.
Several members of GM Performance division's High Performance Vehicle
Operations will join us for the lapping day, and will be offering ride-alongs in some of HPVO's current projects.
Also at the lapping day, friend of the SPC Rich Noose will debut his Formula Vee with hand controls.
Also, thanks to the generosity (and off beat sense of humor...) of some members of the SPC's board of directors, Any Senior SPC member
who registers for the entire week, and either comes to the Rally with a shaved head, or shaves their head during the week, will receive a $10 discount on their registration.
