General Information If you're not familiar with how a mailing list (also known as a "listserver") operates, each subscriber can send an e-mail message to the list server. The server will send the message to each of the subscribers via e-mail. When you sign up as a subscriber, you can choose to receive an e-mail from the list server each time a member posts a message, or you can receive one message a day which will include all messages that were sent that day (referred to as a "digest"). This is quite
different than discussions based on message forums, where a member must
navigate to each forum website to participate. With a mailing list,
the discussion comes to you, and you're able to read and post while checking
your e-mail (which everyone already does anyway). List Options List Archives
